Experience Overview
Mr. Green has a distinguished career as an architect
and planner, including employment with Holabird &
Root, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Peter H. Green &
Associates, which he founded and ran for ten years. He
joined Horner & Shifrin in 1983 and served as Vice
President from 1988 until he stepped down in May,
2004, retaining a consulting role with the firm until May,
2005. His responsibilities included marketing, client
relations, publicity, urban development strategies, site
planning, architectural design and coordination for
planning, engineering and architectural projects.

Positioning the Firm in the Marketplace
During his tenure as Vice President, Horner & Shifrin, Inc., and  
as founder and operator of his own firm, he has shown
significant results in identifying and strengthening his firm's
capabilities, finding the best fit between firms and clients and
identifying and successfully pursuing market opportunities.
These talents have been repeatedly demonstrated in the
exponential growth in both billings and staffing of the firms he
has developed.

Business Acquisition, Project Management and Planning
He played a major role in creating growth strategies and
planning major projects for his clients, including Earth City
Business Park, Missouri Research Park and the East St. Louis
Riverfront, and in the design of the 5th and Cherry Parking
Garage and the new Providence Road Pedestrian Bridge, both
in Columbia, Missouri. He has acquired and managed contracts
with five districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the State
of Missouri, the State of Illinois and several county and
municipal governments in Missouri and Illinois.

Due Diligence and Construction Disbursement Consulting
Since 2004, as Manager of Greenskills Associates, Mr. Green
has inspected and reported on some 20 projects in Missouri
and Illinois for a major national bank , inspecting construction,
filing monthly Construction Progress Reports, reviewing plans,
specifications and cost estimates for constructibility and
recommending approval for disbursement on projects up to $5
million in construction value.

Writing and Publicity
With Greenskills Associates and as a firm principal responsible
for marketing services, Mr. Green conceived, developed and
placed themed print advertising, targeted direct mail, press
releases and feature stories. He published numerous planning
studies and reports, a company newsletter and magazine and
newspaper articles in the St. Louis Business Journal, St. Louis
Construction News and Review, the St. Louis Post Dispatch and
other local and national publications. He is anticipating
publication in August 2005 of a memoir of his family’s wartime
experience,
Dad's War with the United States Marines.
